The Ancho Chili, commonly known as the dried version of the poblano pepper, produces the sweetest flavor of all the dried chills. Derived from Mexico, the Ancho – Spanish for “wide”- chilies, flat, heart- shaped and has a wrinkly-tough texture. This chili is great for making any mild – medium sauces & Mexican style pastes.
